What is the difference between bouquets and arrangements?
- Bouquets are flowers arranged into a bunch and do not come with a vase, so one will be required by the recipient.Fresh water in a clean vase is best, with regular water changes and top ups.

What is best to send to the hospital in regards to flowers?
Bouquets and arrangements are both suitable, but arrangements are more so due to having their own water supply. There are some vases available in the hospital but we cannot guarantee availability.

How much is delivery within Mater hospitals?
Delivery is free within Mater hospitals, South Brisbane and to all Redland Hospitals. Standard courier charges apply to all other areas. Refer to Delivery for further information.

I am getting married soon. Do you do wedding flowers?

Can I send flowers interstate?
Mater Florist can deliver flowers everywhere, either via courier or by Interflora (for destinations outside Brisbane, interstate and international locations). Refer to Delivery for further information.

Who owns Mater Florist?
Mater Florist is owned by Mater Health Services, Brisbane. Refer to Profile for further information. We are the only florist affiliated with Mater, and all of our proceeds support patient care.

Can I send flowers or a plant to areas such as Intensive Care Units?
Mater's Intensive Care, Coronary Care, Special Care Units and Oncology areas either do not permit flowers, or they need to be taken home by a patient's family member. If you wish to send flowers to these areas, we recommend you contact the area for further information about their specific policies. Mater Florist have some great alternatives to flowers, including Silk Flowers, Gifts and Gourmet items. We can advise on what is appropriate for these special areas
